OpenAl32.dll
« on: June 18, 2007, 02:22:42 PM »
Somehow I'm missing this file that initializes the sound.  I have installed the standalone game and build 18 however the file still hasn't appeared.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try uninstalling and install build 19 instead.

I think what you are missing is q2a3d.dll.

If you're using the 3d audio, you need to install OpenAL: http://developer.creative.com/articles/article.asp?cat=1&sbcat=31&top=38&aid=46

thanks for your help. my sound is working again. it was the 3D sound that was causing the issue, I didn't realize that I had turned it on.
