Having no luck when trying to download quake2
« on: July 07, 2007, 01:18:51 PM »
Ok, I don't know if quake2 is like dp and you can download it for free without any disc. Yes, I have seen jitspoe's topic about quake2 and the 2 links on how to get it. The first link on his topic let me download it, and I hit unzip, and once I was on the main menu I hit install (several times and all failed), and the screen went black and then it brought me back the computer and said it didn't have the right path or some kind of crap like that. And if I tried it again, I would just be going in circles, it will let me download it but not install it. I read the help and how to install, and it said I needed to insert some disc?!! And this said demo, so there must be some full game, or what? I tried the second link on jitspoe's topic and it brought me to their site, and you "had to be a member to download it", so I signed up, but I had to confirm it through email, so on the email it gave me a link, but when I clicked on it, it just brought me back to that same email. When I tried to log in, it said I have an invalid account. Some help please. THanks in advance.

If you want to play quake2, with all of its original media, you have to buy it.

Torrents FTW

I could get it in like 2 hours.

A torrent is probably your best bet, since bargain bins are the thing of dreams.

Q4 is literally Q2 with the doom 3 engine. Sure, there are "vehicle sequences", but those make me want to go hang myself. I probably enjoyed Q2 more than Q4 :x
