i was thinking of:

buying the dell xps 720 H2C with the vista. i can gety one for a reasonable price and i was wondering if it was somthing to go with or do i need to keep looking

Get a computer from the "small business" section, and you cant get it from the factory with XP. Vista sucks, badly.

Oh, and Dell also sells computers pre-installed with Ubuntu Linux if you don't like the sound of Vista or XP.

Right on Zorch I got my laptop from Small Business and it was like $1000 cheaper.

no actually yootz my friend bought it new and decided it was too much for him and im getting it for 1500..... but basically all im gonna do with it is play digital paint paintball. until school starts then ill be taking a class in computer design and im gonna try and start that. :)

HA! I just finished setting up a computer that someone I know just got. Its a piece of crap with Vista. I start it up (after the "whats your name" stuff) and explorer crashes, almost immediately. I HATE Vista.
