When you reinstalled, did you DELETE your pb2 folder?

I deleted everything except for my maps.

I went to add/remove programs and uninstalled it, then I went to my paintball2 folder and just deleted it.

But, when I reinstalled the game, I still had commands like, cl_cmdrate at 100 and whatnot even though I didn't save any configs, I don't understand it.

THen you didn't delete everything.

Do this:

Rename your paintball folder to something else, then reinstall and see what happens.

Well, I just talked to DaRkNeSS on mirc, and he told me to put gl_overbright 0 in the console then do a vid_restart. I can see the bunkers now, but my game is hella dark.

The solution is obvious: Don't play biltz. Why is that map even up on servers, anyway? I mean, look at it. It's a big box with transparent bunkers. The textures aren't aligned. There are floating cubes with flag textures on them. There's a big wall made out of barrel. The flag capture is worth 30 points. It's a mess.

That said, your video card must not support multitexturing or something.

hades has this same problem with the bunkers being almost completely transparent

Why would you do that? It's obviously one of the best maps ever to grace a DP server with its presence.

What video card do you have? Hades has an ATi card, and they are notorious for crappy drivers, which is probably what the problem is.

I only have the integrated video card on my com and it blows big time.
I've been trying to get a new vid card for somewhile now,... its not that I'm poor, its that my parents wont share their money with me.
Good thing I didn't bye that ATI a few weeks ago.
