Are you talking about when you start up the game, or when you try to play the game?

If it's the former, then completely delete/uninstall the game and reinstall it. If it's the latter, look here and tell us what it says.

Doubt it you might have downloaded a file that is not correct or something but just reinstall as eiii said although you may want to back up your maps folder.

I stopped playin 4 an hour and dwnloaded an activeX control to get templates for powerpoint, then when i played while the file was still in, and i had gotten the message. Then, i deleted it, and i dont get the message anymore. Could it be that?

It was either GT PUB 0 or 1 (map was jump and it was around 6:00 p.m.). It said somethin like: PLEASE LOG OFF OR YOU WILL BE BANNED. MODIFIERS HAVE BEEN DECTED. The text was in red.

and it had that red splat thing that u find next to ur name (mine was red as well). I played on the server for about a minute when i had gotten the message.

Sounds like someone may have used centerprint.

Assuming the text appeared in the center of the screen, of course. If it did, that's fairly disappointing.

Right. Though it's near impossible, I'd advise you to stay away from the GT servers- better to visit one with more responsible admins.

Ch1ll is a clan a good one and they used to have North American servers.

Nothing here has shown that it was a GT server admin or anyone with login. Let's not assume it anyway. The text was in the normal text area, my guess would be that someone, ANYONE, simply had a bind to show that message got a thrill out of seeing how many people would disconnect. If the text was in the middle of the screen (which you said it wasn't), then it COULD be someone using cprint.
