To cover or not to cover? That is the question.

Say you live in an apartment complex and somebody who parks near you drives a nice looking Harley Davidson motorcycle, which he keeps covered.  You aren't sure which apartment he lives in, though.  One day, as you're about to leave, you notice the cover has completely blown off and the sky is overcast.  It looks like it might rain soon.  You have a slight moral dilemma.  Should you attempt to cover it?

cover it, but make sure the engine isn't hot...might melt the cover onto the engine and that would be a real mess.

I probably wouldnt notice that the motorcycle's cover was blown off if the motorcycle was owned by someone I didnt know, so obviously I would cover the motorcycle of anyone I know.

knack does have a point though. not just gunshot wounds but legal ramifications. in this day and age you can be sued over something like that. u cover the bike, someone sees u or the parking area has monitoring, harley owner comes out sees a scratch on his hog (which he got last night while pulling outta the parking lot at the local bar after downing a gallon of yager) jits gets sued. as a cop i have seen theifs break into a house, get shot by the owner, and then sue the owner for crippling him. gotta love society.

Well, I did cover it the other day, but today there was a massive storm.  Apparently there was even a tornado, and my power got knocked out, so I'm just staying at work.  Needless to say, the cover didn't stay on.  *shrug*  I tried.  I probably won't bother re-covering it in the future.  It it made it through that, it'll make it through future rain storms.
