I just thought it would be good to make it harder for people to line you in maps like shock.

And in "real" paintball, which I know DP is not, sliding is a key part of grabbing cover and moving forward.

I never said that people rolled in real paintball

Well then let me redit my first post...
Should we have croutch sliding?

If you included being able to shoot 2 paintball guns at the same time while crouch-sliding for cover, then I'd be for it....

sure and then we can walk up walls, and possibly fly around.  Then we can dig a hole and fall out of the sky.

OK its not like were doing my above plan ^^^^ where sliding.

For all those who are wondering, sliding is "realistic." Therefore it is not a valid excuse why we shouldn't have it.  Also we all play with double jumping and strafing. If for all you who says its unrealistic I have actually seen people slide.   I have never seen someone jump 20 feet and then fly over pits by "strafing" in real life.   Therefore do not comment that it is unrealistic. If you have other reasons then post them thats why its a topic.

I played real paintball the other day, and they had a merry rule where you are not alloweto shoot from 3m as it hurt too much and can do serious damage. Therefore, when I came face-to-face with the other team, the marshall stopped us from shooting. He then gave us 3 seconds before we were allowed to shoot again. I was crouching at the time and had to SLIDE FOR COVER. Crouch sliding is realistic and would really help those friggin liners. Also, it would need to be limited to once every 3 seconds or so.

OK guys,

The engine in its current state will not support it.

It might be nice to have, but will be extremely hard to implement.

Alright then I guess this topic can be locked until we get a new engine or redo it completely.

Would ruin old maps anyways because you could crouch slide while you were jumping of a ramp at the last second and get through small windows etc where you're not supposed to.

Urban Terror style crouch sliding would be possible, but while it would make some things easier (moving quickly into a firefight while keeping a low profile), it would make other things harder (crouching after jumping onto a ledge to prevent slipping off).
