Nazi isn't an offensive word, but it can be used that way. For those who don't, Nazi in my household was a terrible word, reserved only for those who disposed Jewish citizens in 1940's Germany... Hitler has never been spoken in my house either, we used to just put 2 fingers above our lips to portray his mustache.
