I even use it from my pocket pc.

We use the scrim and match tools as well.

But that doesn't help with the problem of most noobs not being on it. I can try to get them on it but they don't go. Eventually I stop wasting my time.

If you really want irc integration then make a java applet that links to the forums and opens right to #paintball

For a all-in-one program youu could use somethin like Trillian, it has AIM, MSN, YAHOO, ICQ and IRC. And then you could just run vent or ts seperately.

mIRC is not hard to use. They just dont want to use it because it is pointless for them. Why should they come to irc? They can have fun that way they already.

Yup, using the same one. It is bare bones, and requires the full command to be typed out, but works.

No problem. I am willing to work with you, but we have to make it completely idiot-proof.

First we need to clear up the link at the top of the page. Since it appears to point to enter the game it is dated. But more than that if folks don't already know what IRC is they won't ever click on something that says IRC.

We need the link changed to "DP Chat"

And we need the simplest url imaginable to get to that page so that we can spam it in pubs for clans to get into.

dplogin.com/chat would be ideal.

We cannot expect folks to pick up a client they know nothing about or to type some huge url that doesn't look official.
