So I thought i'd write up a simple step-by-step guide on how to connect to irc. Guide is aimed towards people who know little about irc, and thus don't understand what it is. I hope this guide can dispell some of that fear:

I've never used irc on Linux so couldn't detail the steps, if anyone wants to that would be great!

As ever have a check if I've put some misleading or wrong info and i'll take a look.

If someone can figure out how to get DP running on Linux, then I'm sure they can figure out IRC

If they are just newbies who just play the game and don't need fancy scripts, they should just use Trillian for irc. Then, I can just post a sshot of the irc settings window for them and they will be set to go.
Also, since most of these "newbies" most likely don't want to pay $ for an irc client, so they will not stay long if they used mirc.

You know, there is always the IRC ran off of the Digital Paintball website, If nothing else, that is a good start for new comers to Matching/Clanning.

Yeah, I probably downloaded a newer version or something. It asked me for like 20 bucks after 10 days.

Maybe I should have made it clearer (I thought I did). When it asks you to pay/register, you don't have to, just wait 2 seconds then click continue.
