no, I just switched to Trillian. it has less irc functions, but I don't need functions besides chatting anyways.

You can ask if anyone wants to have a 1v1 scrim, and thats a good way to hone technique as well, especially if playing a superior opponent. You can definitely find people on irc to scrim you 1v1.

Does anyone have an answer for why my computer won't connect to irc? It says connection canceled and connection retry over and over and over. Mirc doesn't work and other irc programs. Is this some port problem or what?

Basically

* Connecting to irc.globalgamerscenter.net (6667)

* Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)

I use McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise. I don't know if that helps or not. My school forced dorm residents to install it.

Instead of using port 6667, try using one of these 7000, 5555, or 55555.
They've been setup so that people on school networks can access IRC.

If they just play the game novices who do not need fancy script, they should only use Trillian IRC. Then, I can post a sshot their IRC settings window, they will be set to go.
