Crazy mouse (problem)
« on: July 05, 2005, 04:59:46 PM »
Hello !

I install the game on my Linux box without difficulties but
when I want to play my mouse is going crazy  :(
I mean when i move to the right the cursor goes to the left and if I move to the left , the cursor goes to the right .

The option  'Invert mouse' does not arrange anything  :-\

Sometimes everything is good but only during 2 seconds and after it's worth ( the cursor tremble  when I move the mouse  :o)

Can someone help me  please?

This game looks great ! I really want to try it  ;)

You need to have in_dgamouse set to 1.  I'm not sure if this is helpful or not -- it's for quake3: http://www.icculus.org/lgfaq/loki/q3faq.html#74

Thanks for the tips.
So I set in_dgamode to 1, remove the option 'omit xfree-dga' in my /etc/X11/xorg.conf but the problem is still present. :/.
I don't know what to do.
I begin to desperate to play one day this game  :'(

No need.  I just moved it, though I don't know that it's so much a bug with the game as it is Linux.  I think I'm going to have to redo the Linux code with SDL as a base, but I'm not sure if that would require dga as well.  This thread might be helpful:

It sounds like it's basically a driver issue -- you need to get drivers that support xfree-dga.

I've got the same problem on my Laptop running Linux but only with my M$ USB-Mouse. The built-in touchpad works fine (as far as a touchpad can work fine for a fps)...

Sorry, the touchpads works neither... must have been a brain-bug.

When i enter  in_dgamouse 1  at the command line in the game, the mouse works

changing the config file does not, it means i have to type the command each time i play the game,

Whenever i try to play the game in full screen it closes when i touch the keyboard.
