* The process is completely safe and easy, and only very basic knowledge of your network is required
* Solutions provided are specific and helpful to allow you to fix the problem ASAP
* Others can help because a log is produced that you can copy and paste

Jits, delete help and support, the whole section is now irrelevant.

You should be able to enter the ip address manually.  This wont help on a linux server if all you have access to is the command line interface.

Good job though, keep it up.

I was thinking about it, but it's a security concern. There's always lynx. :P

UPDATES:

* I have rewritten the suggestions a bit to be more informative.
* The "You should not be seeing this message" error should now be gone
* Updated the suggestions for the condition: (1) can be connected to (2) on server list (3) public (4) wrong port numbers on server list

I hope I can get the test any IP feature up soon. We'll see.

Is this why the site was down when I went to it earlier?

UPDATES:

* If the troubleshooter is successful, but the server list has multiple entries for the IP address but with different ports, in addition to the everything-is-okay message, another suggestion is provided: "However, there are many entries on the server list for your IP address; if you did not actually forward any ports, it may only be working because of a temporary fluke; in which case, make sure you forward your ports for UDP port %PORT% (and make sure it's set to the right computer address)"
* Log now denotes whether the IP address of the person conducting the test is the same one as the IP address provided by the user to test

Okay, I made a boo boo. Apparently I had a broken version of the troubleshooter on my computer. I edited it and uploaded it, breaking the troubleshooter. I had to revert to an older copy, but I don't know what the difference is.

Should change this sticky to my port forwarding guide since the links no longer work.

That happens to a few servers (your, [OTB] Speed, ...) sometimes. Don't know how to fix it.
