I think the committee should start with something like 5 members, if any more members are needed another community poll would be done.

Same thing should apply if a member leaves the committe, do another poll.

Hm, actually, once the committe thing is set up, all other nominations/elections should be done by the committe.

Quite frankly, I think jits should select the committee. We are supposed to be taking over certain decisions for him, right? :P

Yes, but how can jitspoe know who is best suited for the job?

Could he possible know every single trait of every player in DP?

I think not.  Unless he has somehow acquired superpowers rolling in toxic sludge.   :P

Thats a silly question, think about replacing "he" with "us" and see if it makes any more sense :P

I think he'd do better than this poll is doing. I can't imagine how DT's as high up as he is, given that he's been fairly destructive here.

that's easy. because DT posts pics of his tight ass in spandex. who doesn't love that? that alone should win him a spot on the committee. :-*

I would bet this months salary that jitpsoe's selection would be a lot more useful for the committee than this community vote.  Even I am ahead of people like Y2J and DT as I write, although they have been around much longer and thus know the community better than I do. Additionally, many people who are not really involved into the community have received a fair amount of votes, just because they are "popular", and not because they would fit into the committee.

Yeah queenie, you're only saying that because you're probably one of the kids that pounces on this opportunity to be a part of a committee so that you can actually feel that you're special or good at a game, and you probably pm everyone in irc just like viciouz being like LOL VOTE ME FOR PLZ I KAIR ALAWT ABOWT DIZ PLZ

Yeah I've been pretty destructive. Writing numerous guides, helping newbies countless times with map problems, being one of two original founders of the most well-composed league in DP history that integrated europeans and north americans as well as creating 31 maps for the game and bringing the first professional esports team into the game.

I also laugh at newbies misfortunes. I guess that makes me unqualified.

I do however agree with Bain that this is merely a popularity contest and about as illegitimate as the actual voting of representatives for our own government. However, if there is to be a committee that might determine certain things about the matching scene 20ID needs to have a voice on it.

brings up an interesting point: should jits have the final say after the elections are over?

doughz.  Fyre.

Just because I haven't played dp for 5-10 years, doesn't make me any less of a candidate for committee.  And also, I would just like to point out that just because neither of you got nominated (thank god) this doesn't give you a valid reason to start a rant like a teenage girl.

Please don't try to insult me or belittle me.

We all know that I will not tolerate this.

We all know you will make a fool of yourselves.

We all know "you don't care"

But just leave this game.  please, for the benefit of all the players, and future players of DP.  Leave.

I don't think I need to explain myself further.
