Jitspoe,

What are the Committee ethical guidelines? Also i noticed you can vote for repeated and one time 'felons'. WTF?

With out these guidelines this committee is just as 'popular election'.

I wish the committee electorates to swear to a strict set of ethics before elections and be held accountable for all actions:

1. Forum posting.

2. In-game ethics.

3. Communications assistance and friendly help.

Please help define these......for the sake of progress and fairness.

Without these guidelines you will have this leading.....(insert jpg below *read bottom to top and notice how "drunk" enough to act like a gentlement.... ADMINS why is Bain's conjecture still posted?)

I don't want this leading the game I am playing and support.

So do most others..

Ethics for the committee please.

*This is not a personal attack on you, just a question of your loyalty, because it seems you now care as equally as we all do.

What I am saying is you accept your selection as a committee member but yet you could care less about others or growth.

Direct answers to the proving needed. I am not attacking you personally. I don't know you, nor do any of you know me.

But I am questioning (your, and anyone nominated) stances, ethics and commitment to the committee.

Before and or after elections will you abide to sportsmanship, ethics and the general good of this game and its community?

With out this there will be no legitimate election. Or electors.

I call for an audio conference...or debate about what is best for the game........please see here. This should put any hard feelings or arguments to a rest. If recorded.

We are all adults and this can be done to make the game legitimate instead of leetist.

I think committee members should be as diverse as possible.
From what I understand, an elected committee member can be removed if they do not perform their described committee duties.

I think the system will work itself out.
Looks like all the 14 or so people realistically in the running for the 10 spots are diverse, and would do very well.

I totally agree S8N.

Even though this appears as a popularity contest, every diverse group of users voted for their own favorites, which on that action alone, made this a diverse group.

aww thats soo cute of you s8n to include your clanmate. kehehehehe.

i am a little disapointed at the ammount of votes that calrathan has though! he was the original creator of digitalpaint.
in someways i dont think this is really a popularity contest.

but the top 10 people at the moment look really good and probably will work its self out.

First off, loial, just because you think a certain set of ethical principles should be upheld for a committee gives us no reason to agree with you. If I believe a set of different principles, perhaps contradictory to yours, should be upheld, there is no further principle by which we can appeal to to make either of our arguments more plausible. This is the fundamental problem of ethics. Ethical arguments cannot be resolved in any straight forward objective way. So please for the sake of everyone on this forum don't vomit out what you think 'committee members should be held too.' At the very least, if we wanted principles for committee members to be held too, we'd have to vote on these too to incorporate some notion of fairness. We aren't just going to have a committee run by loial-principles so he can push his agenda through.

Furthermore if you're worried about me being on the committee, even if i were elected I've decided i would decline being on it for very strong reasons i won't mention here. Yes i have a fairly negative attitude toward this game, but at least i would keep people like you from pushing naive, polarized legislation through this committee.

In sum, i think the most important part of that pm loial posted is this (which is also now a classic idiotquote):

<l21> my point is from a fundemetal warrior aspect

Do you people really want this on your committee?

I have to say that I see some people that really shouldn't be on the top ten and I see others that should be. This is basically a popularity contest.

i feel that, people under 18 shouldn't be allowed in the committee, and the people who have been here the longest should be the most eligable, i dont know about the people who hack, theyre too careless and can mess things up, i for one am trying to set an example to never hack, i would love to be in the committe, vote for me im legit.

Calrathan is pretty busy with real life things these days and isn't all that active in the game, so that doesn't really surprise me.

While it probably is the case that baid doesn't give an InTERcoURsE about the committee, I think that particular instance of not giving an inTERCouRSe is probably more involved with his attitude toward those funname professionals in pub not necessarily the committee.
