Why it doesn´t let me to put in my avatar on profile?

I have it as gif.

Should I have it diferent, as in not gif.?

maybe its to big i beleve the biggest image size is 64x64 or smaller, but it could have something to do with the size of the file as well

yeah i have tried to upload over 10 avatars from a webpage and from my computer and i didnt know the size maximum and i got an Image size error every time.
but now ty warwulf and i will soon have a nice avatar.

Tip: Disable avatars and signatures in the look and layout settings of your profile. The forums load faster and look a whole lot cleaner, too!

I just keep avatars on because they let me quickly identify who the poster is. Reading text is so out of style.

with high speed internet that really doesnt bother me. these forums load super fast!

Ya, but us on dialup and those that have avatars that are over a meg in size because they don't know how to shrink'em right give me fits.
