Mini Cup

 I would like to inform everybody who might be interested in playing some 1o1 dp tomorrow(14 oct) 18:30 GMT.

Today we had our 1st Mini Cup for 8 players, it laster 1hour and 30minutes (including organizing). There was only 1 map (pbcup) and 2 servers (sonny`s OTB and QeHs). The first round was:
skater(win) - jesse
blaa (win)- jonas_ed
heyneken(win) - snoop
sonny(win) - Kaos

In semis skater won blaa and sonny won heyneken. The final was quite 1sided as skater won it like 25:7. (skater won jesse 25:3 and blaa 25:12).

Was some good fun and tomorrow will be new Mini Cup.

The meeting place is #tournyHQ .  The maplist is: rally, shazam and indune. It is best of 1 so each player will eliminate 1 map. The timelimit is 10 and scorelimit 25. The playerlimit depends on sign ups. Probably 8 or 16. Anyone can join. Spread the word. The tournament itself is single elimination (once you've lost, you are out).

sonny won superman 2:1. Superman won shazamr pretty easily 25:14, but sonny got indune and rally under his control (25:15 ; 25:14).

Good tournament. Was mostly indune festival, shazamr got played like 4-6 times and rally once (in the final ).

 Today new 1v1 cup.
Starts 19CET (18GMT). Who wants to play say your request to play to sonny or blaa or magalhaes.
The servers used will be leezerz.com (Germany) and [q] servers (UK). Incase americans sign up the match will be played on the [q] server, so he would have better ping, meanwhile the euros wont have too high ping difference between leezerz and [q].
Maplist will be on topic in the tournaments channel #tournyHQ . Players must be in that channel to register, to play and most importantly to get information.
Slots: 8 or 16 players can sign up. Preferably 16. Incase there is much interest in this mini cup we might have a 32 slot cup, but that would be alot of work for the admins and cooperation from players.
The tournament will be played as single elimination.
The maplist will contain 5 maps and the match is best of 1. Both players eliminate 2 maps from the list and play the 1 remaining. The overall final will be best of 3.
Seeds - Seeds will be made by voting. Each player can vote for 2 players (excluding the player itself) who they think will be in the overall final. The person getting most votes gets seed #1. Incase of tie, the seed order will be decided by admins.

You can register as soon as you see this post and know that you can be online at the time of the tourny, BUT you must confirm that you play 10-30 minutes BEFORE the cup. That means you must come to #tournyHQ between 18:30 and 18:50 (CET) and PM blaa, Sonny, or Magalhaes AGAIN. You should probably wait if the admin says "k" back to you, because it might happen that 1 of the admins is afk and then you wont be confirmed (((.

The third place game was between blaa and ranger which was won by ranger 2:1. Ranger won rally and warehouse and blaa won overrun.

The final was between sonny and skater, which sonny won 2:0. Sonny won fortress and overrun.

Wasnt a very good cup. Lasted about 2hours. Had a few delays. Had lots of retards who cant read and can only be an idiot (HALLO MY CZECH FRIENDS)

Never place 1 - 16, that's a slaughter, for the most part.
This way make for more competition from the start, and offers more chance of upsets.
In reality, in a 16 man bracket you should seed 4 or 8 and randomize the rest.

And there were about 8 dudes who got vote(s), so the rest 8 was my guess.

 Hello.
Today will be #4 mini cup. The IRC channel has changed a bit. It is now #1v1Cup.
We are expecting 16-32 players, which means that when we get lets say 20 players then there would be only 2 first round matches. All others would get a "bye" which basically means they get a free win.
The starting time is 19 CET.
This system will be ran in double elimination system and it will have a website containing the bracket. The exact url will be announced later.
Maplist: pbcup, overrun, xbmap1_alt, berlin, president_s
Like in previous tournys you eliminate the 2 maps you dislike and your opponent does the same (lower seed eliminates first map and then they take turns). The cup will be played as best of 1. Only 1 map will be played. But final will be best of 3.
Servers: There will be 8 leezerz.com servers to use. When you participate in the tournament please do not PM those who are opped asking WHERE I PLAY. We will give you the server.
