Title: Junk in the Trunk
Post by: jitspoe on July 10, 2009, 05:57:16 PM
So I sold my Chrysler Concorde, and I had to get all of the junk out of the trunk.  I decided to do an inventory for kicks.  I'm curious of anybody can compare.  I'm talking about stuff that's been in your trunk for like a year, not stuff you just put in for a move or something.  Even with all this stuff, I still had room for groceries and other typical trunk-type items.

Here is the list:

5 bottles of water
Hiking boots
wank light (flashlight you shake to recharge)
6 VHS Tapes: 3 stooges, AFV, highschool graduation, "The Od", Blank?
2 sports bottles
Radier Pro RC car.
Charger for RC car.
Spare parts for RC car.
Hiking poles
Pair of old shoes.
TMNT glider.
Set of camping pans + cup

I had to clear out a car to be sold recently, and the glovebox was full of packs of replacement bulbs for the headlights, none of which actually worked with that car.

Apparently none of you own a jeep. I keep all kinds of crap in it to include spare parts for when it breaks. How many of you carry extra shafts for axles? Plus I had a 1977 ford ltd when I was 17. We partied one weekend and got so wasted we lost the key to the trunk. A year later I had a locksmith cut me a new key and when we opened it it still had a cooler full of beer in it.

*Got rid of.  This thread is a bit late.  I just ran across the list.  I have a Nissan Altima now.

I got Golf clubs, ball bag, blanket, papers from highschool, papers from university, 2 empty windshield fluid bottles, tupperware, cds, 2 and a half pairs of cleats, 1 pair of sneakers, 5 lucky lager, 6 alexander kieths (4 yrs old), 1 bottle of dutch beer, spare tire, a sheet i used in the winter so i didn't have to scrae my windows, a bag of excrement from high school, some books, some clothes, a tent.

pretty much stuff i need in case i get to drunk to drive

edit: just went and looked through it again. A plastic stick, a skate, hockey gloves, bunch of hats, phone book, a plastic owl, a wooden thing to prevent people from going down a road and a volleyball i cut up to make a helmet

they lasted a long time. I think they are all busted though. They froze in the winter and expanded thus busting the bottles.

I don't know exactly what was in it, but I had a '74 Nova back around '92 or so that had the trunk (it had a BIG trunk) absolutely full. AND the entire back seat (was a 4 door too) was full all the way to the top of the front seats. AND the passenger floor board was full all the way to seat level. Anyone sitting shotgun had to sit with their knees in their chest. No one ever sat in back.

The cops would pull me over all the time because I was always coming home at like 3 or 4 in the morning but never searched my vehicle...wonder why.
