i just took a look on my dp server list and saw 45 of of 52 servers are empty (ye the game is dead blahblahblah).
what about reducing the servers or taking a limit of maximum servers per host/admin?

and what we euros see is only one side. At night everything looks different.

If people want to host servers it's their choice. If they want to spend money I don't think Jitspoe will oppose it. With the ideas you have you should run for office one day.

eh, kind of agree.
High amount of servers = less people playing together
Low amount of servers = less variety
You can't really win..

Ok I agree, I was just agreeing sarasticly. There are way to many servers. But like I said people pay for them and Jitspoe probably won't cut them off when they are spending money for his game.
In te past you Myers and myself had discussed an official server list. This is something that should be implemented.

Less servers wont be implemented, but it would benefit the game.
People, especially europeans, are mindless beings who click on whatever server is available. New players will click on a map they know rather than a server with people. There's often times where theres 10 public servers of 2-5 people on them. With reduced servers, (and ideally improved maplists), people would be forced to play on a select few amount of servers, causing more full servers. I don't think many people have fun in empty servers. So, this eliminates that issue. Force people to play together, and bam you get more enjoyment in the game.
No reason to have more servers then players.
No reason to allow home-run servers to show up on server list. You're just allowing low-quality servers to ruin the game for new players. There's enough quality servers that home-run's should not show up on server list.

What would be your line between the two though? Some people do have some amazing connections, as seen by the SpeedTest thread.
