Nah...Cs 1.6 is far better than F.E.A.R. Combat. Graphics don't take precedence over classic gameplay.

Fear's gameplay is slow-paced, but tons of fun. It may not be 'classic', but you have to think. The graphics are a plus too, though.

No way, fear has some of the fastest paced gameplay I've seen. Sure you can't run around quickly, but you can walk into a room and kill like 3 guys in about half a second, and it's not unusual for TDM scores to jump around by like 60+ points. CS sucks because if you fire more than 1 or 2 shots in a row or move while shooting, you start hitting the floor and ceiling.

If anything I'd say CS is slow gameplay in the regular gametypes, if you're not playing on a surf map then its a waste of a quake-based engine.
F.E.A.R. has slow-motion, no duh its gonna be slow.
SkateR is right, Warsow and ET > CS.
In my opinion, CS isn't that horrible of a game when playing with friends, but when you play online...the community makes the game suck...reminds me of Halo.

instant revivals for the most part too, and cs you have to wait for that one last camper to run down time, or get raped hardcore.

lmao. Shane hates CS because he is absolutely terrible, and the difficulty of aiming makes it more realistic, which is what it was trying to accomplish. F.E.A.R. is extremely fast paced in a TDM/DM server, and the graphics are awesome no doubt, but for some reason I absolutely love CS.

One thing I hate about CS is the range of damage bullets will do. Sometimes you hit somebody and it'll do like 130 damage, and sometimes it'll do like 2. I also hate how weak the grenades are. Most of all, though, I dislike the "buying" concept.

Yeah...buying is a pain, you gotta make binds and then memorize what does what, just like in Tremulous.

CS 1.6 doesnt let you customize packages, therefore CS:CZ > CS 1.6 (personally i hate source.)

Poor Spook...can you even run Source? I agree with you on hating CS:S, its a shame that I haven't seen a single good game on that engine...SiN came close...until I stopped looking at screenshots and actually played it. LOL

And as long as you can still pee on people, Postal 3 will be decent. Its too bad Valve hasn't put more effort into making games that might actually be good on their powerful engine.

Doom III was the biggest game letdown that I'd ever experienced. It just goes to show that a great engine doesn't necessarily mean a great game.

I prefer source to 1.6 because the graphics don't look like crap. I also like being able to resize the crosshair so I don't have a 2 foot gap between it while I'm trying to aim at somebody's head (I hate crosshairs that don't actually cross. They're called crosshairs. They're so you can aim. Not so they can give you a general idea of where the center of the screen might be).
