Eek, where to start...
You need to setup your firewall correctly, and forward the ports.
I'm assuming you have read this: http://digitalpaint.planetquake.gamespy.com/docs/server_guide_win32.html, before you ran to the forums?

well no i didnt read that and i shut down my firewall completely and it still doesnt go on the list

Read that before you do anything. Also portforward.com is where you'll need to go next. Use Quake2 when you do the guide, since this game derives from it.

alright i read the first thing now ive gotta check out that second thing brb
-
ok that didnt help me i dont hav a router

Since you've only been here 20 minutes, I'll fill you in on some of our rules around here.
-Do not double post. On the upper right hand corner of everyone of your posts you'll find a "modify" link which will let you edit your text.
-Do not "necro" - Which is bringing up old posts and reviving them by posting.
-Do not post duplicate threads. Most questions can be answered by using the search feature at the top of the page. If you think you have a new idea or something to contribute, a quick search usually reveals you're not as creative as you thought. (i.e. your post about a friends list and in-game mic)
-Do not flame. You will be quickly banned if you start picking on other players.
-Only post when you have something useful to say. For example: alright i read the first thing now ive gotta check out that second thing brb
You could have waited until you read both, and then asked a question if you still needed help, or maybe it would have worked and it didn't call for a post at all.
Cheers, and welcome to our humble community,
y00tz
*edit - ok that didnt help me i dont hav a router
Alright, well tell me what you have on your screen now. If you followed that guide you should have a command prompt on your screen, and in a moment it will heartbeat and we'll see your ip at dplogin.com/serverlist.php
-
my bad im kinda new to the forums. ok wen i start it up it doesnt say sending heartbeat it does say sending ping to master server though

In your configuration, does it says: "setmaster dplogin.com" ?
And what is your IP so I can look for it.
I think I see it..

In your configuration, does it says: "setmaster dplogin.com" ?
umm no and my ip is 69.250.150.199

Open up your server config file (if you followed that guide I gave you it may be myserver.cfg) and add setmaster dplogin.com if it isn't present. Then obviously close the server and start it again.

alright i will but not now i g2g thx for the help yootz

Ok, but I noticed in another thread you wrote:
well i dont like to use xfire cuz it slows my comp down and gives me lag... alot
If your computer lags badly with xfire, maybe a server isn't the best for you.

hey yootz do u know ho to permban some1 from ur server?
-
1st If you would have used the Search function you would have found the answer to this.
The steps to ban someone from a server:
1.listuserip - type in console to find the ip.
2.writeip <ip> - writes to the banlist<port #>.cfg
3.addip <ip> - adds the ip to banlist<port #>.cfg
-
aahh ok thx kilo i was just doing listuserip and writeip
-
Just remember to have your server set so if it isn't a permanent sever than it doesn't just let him in anyways.
-
When you start the server it should automatically exec banlist<#>.cfg.
If it doesn't type the following in the DOS box:
exec banlist<#>.cfg
-
kk thx
