Post by: Osiris on July 11, 2007, 11:52:28 PM: HELP me please. I want to get mIRC but when i go to site it says 30 day free trial. Then you have to pay US$20.00 to continue using it. But when i ask people they say it is free ??? Im confused and waiting to get mIRC working. Plz help me out.

Have you uninstalled the previous installation completely?

Post by: Osiris on July 12, 2007, 12:42:31 PM: This is my first time with irc so i just download the 6.something versing. then when i went to download the version of IRC for windows 3.1 to see if that would help i couldn't install that one either ??? and u have to have IRC to join some clans and w/e so i wanna get it :)

There are enough people that buy a full version so that they can keep it "free" for the advanced users...

Post by: Osiris on July 12, 2007, 05:49:35 PM: no i dont have the 3.1 version installed. well i dont think i do at least. but when i tryed to install the newer version of IRC it said it couldnt find the backup files. that why i tried to install 3.1 which didnt work ???

Post by: Osiris on July 13, 2007, 12:25:03 PM: i re-downloaded mIRC and it didn't work again. Even when i unclicked the backup files box. When i do that, just about all of the files cannot be written or opened. Then when i just ignore that file (because retry never works) i cant open IRC. ??? this is really pissing me off and i wanna get it working >:(

mIRC is an IRC client, there are many other free IRC clients out there.

Also, use the modify button to edit your posts.

No, they mean instead of posting 2+ times in a row, add it to your last post by using the "modify" button.
