HELP me please. I want to get mIRC but when i go to site it says 30 day free trial. Then you have to pay US$20.00 to continue using it. But when i ask people they say it is free

Im confused and waiting to get mIRC working. Plz help me out.

you just hit continue everytime you load it up. so it IS free

They wouldn't have made that if it's not free.

GREEAAAT

ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH mIRC. now when i go to install it none of the files can be read. or it cant backup existing files

Could you guys help me with this one too

Have you uninstalled the previous installation completely?

This is my first time with irc so i just download the 6.something versing. then when i went to download the version of IRC for windows 3.1 to see if that would help i couldn't install that one either

and u have to have IRC to join some clans and w/e so i wanna get it

You don't want the version for windows 3.1. Why are you trying to install it again? Don't you already have it installed?

There are enough people that buy a full version so that they can keep it "free" for the advanced users...

no i dont have the 3.1 version installed. well i dont think i do at least. but when i tryed to install the newer version of IRC it said it couldnt find the backup files. that why i tried to install 3.1 which didnt work

Don't tell it to back up files. That's only if you want to save a backup of a previous version that you've installed, which you haven't.

i re-downloaded mIRC and it didn't work again. Even when i unclicked the backup files box. When i do that, just about all of the files cannot be written or opened. Then when i just ignore that file (because retry never works) i cant open IRC.

this is really pissing me off and i wanna get it working

Oh also. becasue my IRC doesnt work couldnt someone send me an installed version or sumthin like that so i can use it

mIRC is an IRC client, there are many other free IRC clients out there.

Also, use the modify button to edit your posts.
