Export it from Wings3D as a .3ds, then import into Blender and export it as an md2 (this is usable in Paintball2) or a for complexity's sake; export it as an SMD, then convert it to an SKM.  Hint: Do md2

Post a sshot of it, show off your skills man.

P!nk: Sorry son, I've been so busy - I still love you guys, I swear I'm gradually getting more time to devote to the DP.

Everyone who is trying to hit me up on gmail: stop - try Steam, the gmail think pops up in the corner of the second monitor and I neverrrrr notice it :(  I love chatting to you guys but I'm typically multitasking when I'm online these days.

recap:  still love all of you - just busy - you're all awesome - who is fuzz ball?

Cheers,
y00tz

Other Stuff / Jaguar Skills Mix (BBCR1)
« on: May 25, 2009, 10:26:46 PM »
Radio 1's gaming weekend featured an epic 2 hour mix from Jaguar Skills that I thought was really good; here's the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00kmn41 - It's only good for 7 days, so check it out.

Caveat emptor, you'll have to install Real Player to listen to it :(

You shouldn't ever take anything from Free Republic seriously.

Mapping / Re: Community Texture Pack (56k Warning)
« on: May 17, 2009, 08:10:12 AM »
Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the start of the CTP project.  It's been more successful than I've ever imagined, and I'd like everyone to know that it's still under development.  I'll make an announcement soon, but just know that you shouldn't expect the same crummy & amateur work I rolled out in the pre-release.

Cheers & thanks for all the support and criticism, it's quite appreciated,
y00tz

Have you found a way to contact him? I don't think he will be checking forums  since he hasn't been on forums in almost a year.

If I recall correctly, he's a teacher - which explains the lack of work on the map.  Check his last active... right as school ended in '08, I suspect this summer we might actually see him.

Other Stuff / Re: Would you take a 20% pay cut to work 4 days a week?
« on: March 19, 2009, 11:43:28 PM »
Just curious - for those working the standard 5-day, 40-hour work week.

The 40-hour week is still around?  Wow, I wonder if my boss knows that...

Pro: Working less days and making less money makes you less of a target for a layoff
Con: If your shift were to be picked up/done by someone more efficient/talented and your absence is virtually unnoticed, you suddenly become that much more expendable.

I'm rich, biatch.

Heh, seriously though, this 'economic downturn' doesn't affect ~90% of us.  Prices tend to be cheaper, from food to gas; for those of us who got home loans we could afford, foreclosure isn't knocking at the door.  And most workers with marketable skills won't be out of a job, except those in dying industries like American automobile manufacturing, etc.

I am unable to parse this sentence. :( Might I have a restatement, in clearer terms?

I assumed he was waiting for the more stable build 26 (b25 bugfix) before the 'public' got their hands on it.

Need more votes people!  Textures could would look like this: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a7/dkh2/bump_mapping.png - I reallly think this should be a top priority for anyone who makes maps.

Issues for Committee Review / Re: Blackout asking for hacks
« on: February 08, 2009, 10:26:59 PM »
As seen from other threads, logs don't get much credit.

True, the committee doesn't rely on third-party IRC logs for evidence, but I personally think where there's smoke there's usually fire.  I would rather we not discourage someone from asking for an investigation, I'm not locking this thread but unless you have anything wonderfully meaningful to add, please don't argue with the original poster.

This isn't a deal per se, but I noticed when subbing to Edge, you can get a year for $75 by using this link:
http://www.imsnews.com/home.php?page=magPage&pubid=92

Which is the direct link from IMS, but you can get a year for slightly cheaper using this link:
http://www.imsnews.com/home.php?page=magPage&pubid=431

Just a little tip for anyone needing to re-sub.
