Wiping?

Real? Nonexistant? I'm asking because a lot of players claim that I am "wiping", or wiping the paint off my clothes. I don't know the command for this, and I've never heard anything about it here. It's really irritating to kill a player only to have him say "lol u wiper nub"

First avoid from ever using the name "Mantis".

Mantis was the scourge of q2 hacking. Taking down servers, reseting servers.

Again Mantis IF that is you which I doubt . Ironfist meet your god of hacking, if it is him.   

Who ever you are I apologize but your name is not welcomed in the q2 community and I am obligated to Email Zot and the others that this name was used and where. He will follow you and catch you just like last time.

Em...no, not the same person. My name is actually a short version of "Dancing Mantis" which I've been using for a few years. Maybe I should change it?


EDIT: Also, I've been using "Mantis" for a couple weeks in PBall, and no one has said anything about it, so this guy couldn't have been that bad, ne?

Not many that play this game know who MANTIS is.

Again my apology, but the ball is rolling on this , your namesake was jailed and still should still be in Jail for accessing Government/Phone company protocols. Disaster routing lets just say. 

To your credit and my chagrin , the name was MANTIS not Mantis, yes I peronsally would personally recommend changing your name however if you have nothing to fear, then do what you feel is best.

Please in know way feel discourged from playing this game. I look forward to meeting you and seeing what they are talking about, to clear your name.

I've never heard of anybody saying anything about "wiping" in this game, and no, it doesn't exist.  They're probably just giving you a hard time because they think they hit you and didn't.

AFAIK, Quake2 never had this exploit.  It was only in early versions of Quake1 and later removed.

I've seen that page before, but I still think it's wrong.  They removed it in quake1, so why would it even be in quake2 ever?

If i have been rude to you in the past I am sorry , I used to game with a guy named Damien The Destroyer . He was the worse  human being i have every met The most  ghetto , ingorant racist , white airforce trash  and a dam good cheater and name spoofer adn server crashers beside a guy named Mantis, Damien was the most hated person in q2 gaming history and that is a very large community every one knew him and hated him , god hes sucked, he was one of reasons i started playing dp instead of q2WOD (weapons of destruction) . Untill i saw you with a (GT) tag i had assumed that he got bored with q2 and followed me around like a lost puppy dog . Because i was the only every to be nice to him , huh my mistake.

You just bore the brunt of a 1000 q2 gamers hate for him and did not deserve such harsh retort.
