I've gone completely deaf in my left ear over the past two years, but I'm betting that has more to do with being in a rock band rather than genetics, but I'm not completely convinced.

Well thats partly true... My blood doesn't clot, but it does not cause massive blood loss in small cuts. Usually, an episode results in blood pooling somewhere in the body, which then results in large amounts of pain, swelling, and warmth at the site.... Sucks really.
