Oh, the games that I've played TDM on, for example Soldier of Fortune 2, used bases to spawn teams and equipment (if applicable).. (wait, I honestly don't remember anymore since it's been years...  I *think* it used bases), which worked out quite well, for the most part.  Hmm, so you're proposing DM except players are on teams?

Correct.

If you've ever played any of the Halo series, its basically Slayer mode.

 And make that when u start a map with DM mode there would be some sort of preparation time. Like in other game modes ("match starts in 30sec" etc). Can not understand at all why would DM be without preparation time..

That's kind of the whole idea. :)  There wouldn't be respawn times, and the spawns would be random (or maybe you spawn close to your teammates like in FEAR TDM).

What other games have you played in team DM in?  DM = you get points for killing other players.  TDM = team gets points for killing other players.

Don't know if this was said. (didn't read all of the posts) but this is somewhat like the mode for Halo which Halo uses for tournaments.

It is called Team Slayer and its pretty much DM but team based 4on4 and it is the first team to 50 kills.

This could be a very interesting idea as it works very well for the matching in Halo.

It's also totally exclusive to halo, right? :P TDM has been in tons of games, but since this one is so fast-paced and the maps are all set up with separate bases per team, it'd be a lot harder for that gametype to translate to this game. Elim keeps the game round-based while providing an TDM-esque game. I say we stick with that.

Well, i wouldn't think it's exclusive to only Halo.

It would just have to be made so that the gameplay is interesting for this game. There would have to be specific maps that had to be played in order for this mode to work. With different spawns, equipment etc.

But i really think to make this a mode for matching in DP would be a great idea. Teams would play to 50 kills just as i said before. Make it somewhat more interesting.

just because Eiii always uses words "we" and "I" im usually opposing his views. Same this time. ELIM is a quite pointless gametype to be honest. Waste of space. Replacing it with TDM would be much better.

I agree to have TDM created and I have about 5-6 TDM Map idea's already that don't work for CTF mode.
This is something I would be interested in helping with or playing.

This MOD promotes first person shooting skills, situational awarenes and also teamwork.

When your team eliminates another team within that split second, your team earns 5 more points.

You don't eliminate the other team in team deathmatch, though.  People respawn instantly, like in regular deathmatch.
