Mp3 downloader
« on: November 07, 2007, 07:04:27 PM »
Anyone know of a service/website/program that will let me download mp3's from fileservers, or say, download an audio/mpeg object? I've tried zamzar, but you have to convert it, i just want the mp3 file.

I don't really understand. You want to download music from websites ? You can always try some p2p programs to get your mp3.

You know how when you open an mp3 off a website, a little window pops up where it looks something like Quicktime?

Before you open it try right clicking the link and do 'Save As...'

... 'Save link as' is the IE equivalent to Firefox's 'save page as..'

Oh, so its an ftp server. Yeah, try downloading a FTP client, but if for some reason you dont want to, Windows Explorer has a built-in ftp explorer so if you copy the address of the page from where you want to download that into the Windows Explorer address textbox you should be able to view the server content as if it was a folder in your harddrive.

edit: Im pretty sure there's a Firefox addon that turns it into an FTP client.

That just looks like a directory listing, not FTP. There's no need for an FTP client.

Actually...
Firefox: Save Link As
IE: Save Target As

So yeah, SW, "Save Link As" should download the file.
