Name isn't working

so I go to use a new name and when i go into a game it just gives me noname...even though when i go into the advanced setting in mulitplayer setup it shows the name I want to use.

whats wrong?

If you are using a name with a bunch of colors in it and the name is long then it is exceeding the amount of maximum characters allowed. Basically you just need to get rid of the merry funname if that is your situation.

But my forums name(also my main game name) is 1 letter shorter than the name I was using and I could put my clan tag in with Reb Blood98.....and it was with funname.

EDIT: so I can get the funname to work..but instead of it saying Skellington..it only says Skelling...but it can say Red Blood98 which with the space is the same number of characters as Skellington and Red Blood98 uses funname too.

How many colour changes are you using for each?

Red has 3 and Skellington has 4 I think.

Yeah thats way too many.
Just dont use as many colorchanges, becuase for every colored letter it counts as like 2 characters I think.
