I suppose that he said, he wouldn't do anything more for the community, that's why he didn't get banned.

Of course it is nice, what he did and do for the game, but . . .

Sk89q hasn't said anything in regards to a ban that I'm aware of.  This has been discussed to death.  It really boils down to this:
- I don't want to ban people for trying to help, even if they do slip up a little.
- Exploiting bugs for the sole purpose of disrupting the game for other people won't be tolerated.

The people who were banned never reported the bug to me (except viper - his ban is still being discussed) and most of them crashed multiple servers while other people were playing.

Can I just ask "How do you know if you have been:
a) Hacked.
b) Server was crashed
c) Bug in server.

As I still don't get how people can actually tell. Please, get too me on this one.

If the server admin logs the commands that a user types, he can tell if the command and parameters that cause the server to crash were used.  The game has built-in detection for "hacks" (or more accurately, cheats).

it has nothing to do with u doesnt it? viper is right, its pretty lame indeed not to shorten the ban. Sonny, Kongo, Queenie and even me did it for fun and just with the intend to crash servers. Viper tried them out on some servers once and afterwards he even reported it to you jitspoe.
i dont know how long it would have taken u to find out what the reason of the server crashing was but i think u should be at least a bit thankful to viper and u should apreciate that he told it to you..

From the sounds of it, you crashed at least 6 servers.  The committee felt that was too much to let slide, sorry.
