500GB External HD
«

I'm looking to buy antoher external hard drive, with a minimum of 500GB space. I currently have
250 Gb LaCie F. A. Porsche
and its been quite reliable.
I've listed these as potentials, basically a list of the cheapest, anyone used any of these, or can recommend another, willing to pay more for the reliabilty.

The last 2 on the list there are pretty good. I have the last one and I haven't had any problems. My roommate has the 2
nd
to last one and he has never had any problems either.

Pretty much anything from Seagate or Western Digital is good.

If you're talking about the WD 250GB, then same here.

It looks nice, and the 5 years of warranty sounds good! Is it as quiet as it claims to be?

5? I thought seagates were 10 now. I'm not sure how quiet it is - can't hear it over my computers.
