ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?

There are 7 girls in a bus
Each girl has 7 backpacks
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats
For every big cat there are 7 little cats
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

I've been trying for awhile now and I cant get it. Without lookin it up or anyhting try this.

Explanation:

(7 girls)x(2 legs each)=14 legs

(7 girls)x(7 backpacks each)x(7 big cats in each)x(4 legs each cat)=1372

(7 girls)x(7 backpacks each)x(7 big cats in each)x(7 small cats for each big cat)x(4 legs each)=9604

14+1372+9604=10990

I got 10990 on the first try, and I checked it up in the internet to see if I was right.

7 girls
343 big cats
2401 little cats

9604 little cat legs
1372 big cat legs
14 girl legs

This is probably one of those dumb things where someone does it mathmatically and then erad posts "LOL NO EACH BUS SEAT HAS 4 LEGS AND THERE ARE 30 BUS SEATS LOLOLOLLOLOLOLLOL".

Anyway, without any of the retarded withholding-information crap, it should be:

7 * 2 + 7^3 * 4 + 7^4 * 4

...or 10990.
