HELP! IM HACKED!

So my computer was acting funny, and i decide to scan it with an antivirus program, and it turns out I had a trojan horse virus. I got rid of it, but then I decide to do a keylog check, and as it turns out, im being keylogged by a program called "explor.exe", not a typo. I have no clue what process is running it, and I can't remove the .exe. Im freaked that my situation will get worse, especially since the desktop stopped working after I got rid of the virus - but thats fixed - and i need a way to get rid of the keylogger. Are there any programs or anything I can use to get rid of it? When i scanned all of the files that were involved with the .exe, and after i scanned all files that were modified after I typed stuff, none of them were even detected as viruses.

1. disconnect from the internet
2. Boot in safe mode and run your av/spyware programs.
3. repeat step 2 a few times
4. if it doesn't get rid of the key logger, buy an etch-a-scetch.


Seriously though:

Boot safe mode and use AVG, Adware, and spybot search and destroy.  THose 3 usually remove almost all issues.

ps: did you ask your parents if maybe they could remove the keylogger they installed

1. IT CANT BE DELETED, its always used by another program

2. The task is named something other than explor so i cant find it.

3. Every Spyware program i use doesnt detect it, not even in safe mode.

Even if I disconnect the net, its still active, thus making it almost invincible, which is not helping my situation, and now the desktop doesnt work when i boot up, I have to close explorer.exe and reopen it to fix it.

open msconfig and uncheck every service that starts up that you can't determine what it does.  Again, do that in safe mode, then reboot the pc.

Get mcafee and spybot search and destroy. Those usually take care of any problems i get.

Did you try that yet?  If not, do it.  And like Knack said, AVG, Adware, and Spybot will do the trick.

You could try avast and use the boot time scan.

NOD anti virus system, i had huge problems and was about to get someone guy from ebst buy to compeltely wipe and reformant my entire computer.....then my dads friend sent us this program NOD anit-virus sytem....problem solved:D
