Why aren't there any Tippmans!?ANGELS!?

 Sure there is a autococker and all that poo, but why aren't there any tippmans in the game.  Tippman paintball guns are some of the greatest paintball guns out there, so why aren't there any of them in the game.  Also there aren't any ANGELS in the gmae the best paintball guns in the world!?

Yeah, ummm, I guess this question should be under dev, but it applies here, if someone models/skins their own gun, could we submit it for possible implementation?

Probably not. We have plenty of guns for now.

Of course, but there's no guarantee they will be accepted.  They will need to be of excellent quality and able to be released under the GPL.  Also, there needs to be a balanced array of guns, and what we have now works pretty well, so we won't be adding any guns, but instead replacing old ones.  It would be solely a visual change.

Also, even if they are accepted, it could be a while before they're put in the game.  New weapons are pretty low on the priority list right now.

There are plans to redo all the guns in DP.
There is a list of approved guns.

Many of the current guns will remain and just be remodeled and skinned to include hgiher resolutions w/LODs
There will be some new guns, but I can't remember where I put the list.

These new guns will not be done for a long time so don't hold your breath.

I'm tempted to replace the automag with the angel because it's requested so often.  It may not be the best gun, but it seems to be well known.

I kind of like the "retro" guns, though.  It's like a WWII game or something.  People don't use those types of weapons in war anymore, but so what?

Plus I don't want to have to update the game every year when new weapons come out, and inevitably, people will want like 50 different high-end guns in the game so they can play with their favorite real life gun.  If we keep it all old-school weapons that most people can't even buy anymore, then it's a little more balanced.

Another thing we need to think about -- if we want to make all the content GPL, we may need to move away from name brand weapons and create our own guns.
