About the drumming video, the guy is from a band in the DCI (Drum Corp International - the best of the best marching bands). You HAVE to be that good to be in a DCI band. And besides that, you have to memorize about 10 minutes worth of music and ~100 sets of coordinates on a football field.

It's pretty fun really.

actually most of those are foot pedal or lever actuated. All the final forming is mostly done by eye.

watch the video. You wouldn't be able to turn the piece of metal one way and then it would just turn the other way. Most of those machines are computer operated like CNC machines.

Actually yes you can. It's manually done all of the time. The benders that are hydraulically actuated are very simple machines as well.
