Reconnect is the oldest stat boosting happyest trick ever. No onder some people had a over a 3/1 k/d ratio after serveral hundreds of hours logged. Although I can say this, BOB will usally stay around after a 5-8 start and then 50-5(WHAT!!!), however he left before the round started on my last ss.
Sorry loial21, I fail to see how reconnecting to a server can boost your overall stats. Reconnecting provides no advantages other than bringing your scoreboard scores back to zeros. If you look at good players who are able to maintain a 3:1 k/d ratio they have games where they're 6:1 and games where they're 1:2, but they are able to average 3:1 because their better performances are more frequent than their poor performances. Reconnecting to a server will only trick people that view the scoreboard into thinking you have less deaths that you actually do. That's why if you're going to take a glance down the
Deaths column it's a good idea to look at the time they've been in the server before making any judgments. Reconnecting to a server doesn't actually make you better or make your stats better, it just fools the simple-minded.
I do something similar when I'm having a few bad rounds. I'll usually disconnect from the server, head back into IRC, look at some news sites or throw on a couple songs and then join back up on the next map to get a fresh start with a different mix of teams, on a different playing environment. I certainly hope this isn't considered stat-boosting.
