Purposeful Stealing of Names: Hellhound

DPLogin Account Creation rules state:

We realize there are lots of commonly used names, but older, established members of the community take precedence. In other words, if you've just recently started playing the game and register a name that another player who has been around for 5 years is known by, the name will probably be removed from your account. If it looks to be intentional name theft, further action may be taken, such as account suspension or banishment. If you're having trouble coming up with a unique name that doesn't conflict with existing players, you might want to check out GameSpy's Naminator.

That being said, Reaver has taken it upon himself to register these names, and impersonate these players in-game:

Yeah, might wanna remove anything t odo with reaver (besides the fact that he's also a victim of name stealing here) from your post, he stopped going by that name months ago. A little players search for the names "hellhound" and "mephine" reveals that that is indeed hellhound.

We have 10 names available to us, we should be preventing this.

I have y00tz, yootz, y()()tz, y()()+z, etc. registered. 

Those who are not registering alterations and allowing others to 'steal' their names are creating yet another completely unnecessary waste of Paintball 2's sole dedicated developer's time.

But those 10 names arn't there to cover likenesses of our one name, the correct way is to report on it when found so they can be removed and the impersonator dealt with.

While the committee and myself don't have the time to police every similar name on the login system, given the nature of the severity of this case, the committee has decided on a 16 day ban.
