Turning the X360 on it's side while the DVD is running is really stupid. I can't believe anyone would do that.

Well, for one, it's made by microsoft to further advance their plot of world domination.  For two, the biggest hype about it is the Halo series, and FPS games on consoles suck (not to mention Halo is a fairly mediocre game).  For three, consoles in general take away development time for better systems so we end up with crappy ports.  For four, to put it simply, it has issues.

Actually, I don't really have anything against it, but I certainly wouldn't buy one myself.

Jitspoe, You should be able to burn dp standalone's onto a cd and be able to play them on the XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3 only if the person has Network capabilities and/or Xbox Live.... It would be kinda cool I think... Look into it please.

Thank You

FPSs on consoles are just different. Their control scheme is much more smooth than that of FPSs. It depends on the person.
Also, Halo is an awesome game. It's different from your average FPS, which may be why you don't like it, but it's story/gameplay/multiplayer is all awesome.

the multi player was no better then quake2 on some maps. only thing it had going was that jeep and stuff. but those are in every fps now.

Halo is much slower than Quake, and the weapons are conciderably more balanced. And the hog was the best drivable vehicle ever, and always will be. ;)

well i for one cant wait to get my 360. had it reserved for about 6-7 months now and i didnt get 1 on the first shippment, still awaiting the second shippment. ugg they got 20 units in and i was 22 on the list. needless to say, everyone paid for their system in full and i couldnt just get lucky and have gotten one by default. o well i 4 one, have high hopes, and intend to seek full compensation for any destroyed dvds or games... FULL COMPENSATION. im sure that microsoft will put up a good fight for the 20 bucks ittl have to pay for any ruined movies but in the end i will win, i mean cmon now its only a multi-billion dollar corporation and yes i do foresee many hours of wait time listening to elevatore music but in the end my small victory will be worth it in my own mind.

i hope u have enjoyed this rant <3

I found that playing Halo with a joypad was more fun and easier than i thought, Unreal was crap.

That's because the controls are smoooooooooooth, and Halo was designed for the Xbox. If you were to put Quake or something on a console, it would probably play terribly.
