Perhaps we should all email google and tell them we disapprove of the new icon.

Edit: Haha, I searched for "google's new icon" and came up with this site: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/017268.html

At first I thought it said "Digital Paint forums" on the link.

Finally saw the icon today at a friends house and all I have to say is WTF?!

I've been thinking about how i could fix this.Then i found stickytape.

Method:
1.Find tape.
2.Find paper.
2.5.Write "g" or "G" on it.
3.Sticky tape paper over symbol.
4.Realise it looks better.
5.Enjoy a new, betterer, symbol!
