You picked a socket 775 design, but I'll give this another shot with the processor.

What is the absolute highest you will go on a processor?

Also, I'm trusting intel for my computer, so Garrett don't jinx it. The Q9450 better hold up, and it seems stable, and the reviews are good. (My bro has his up and running, rarely goes over 25% CPU load even with Crysis running.)

The absolute most I am willing to pay for a processor is no more than 120$, but I'm not looking for for 3 GHz, because 2.6 will do just fine for me compared to the 1.1 GHz I have right now. I might just go with the Pentium D, but I think I have heard that a lot of programs and games won't be able to run on a Pentium D. That is the only reason why I am a little hessitant with the Pentium D. If I can find a Centrino Duo or some other 2-core processor under 100$, then I will probably go for it.

I am also looking at cheaper motherboards right now. I need to find a motherboard that will accept the PCI-e graphics card, and have at least more than 4 GB of memory, although 4 is just fine.

P.S. Spell check is horrible!!!!!!!!!

The next cheapest intel dual core.

Overall not bad, should be able to overclock pretty well with nice cooling.

Found this dual core instead, and I think I would rather use it because it might include a fan.

I need a good fan, and because I'm planning on spending 130$ on a processor, I'm looking for a cheaper mother board.

Wow, why would anyone buy 8500gt with 1gb. It's just pointless.

the 8500 is a joke, only card worth buying is the 8800, encoding videos dont even take up cpu, and they have other cool ass features the lower end models dont have...

haha, thats ridiculous, the thing u should be spending the most on is the motherboard, why get a bad ass cpu, with a poor mb, the cpu will only perform at best with a great mb

ABIT, ASUS

I know I keep saying I'm going to get this, and that motherboard, but I think this is the one I'm actually going to get.
