Whatever my router is. It's from SMC networks, I think.

Head on over to http://192.168.2.1
Put in the password. By default it's 'default'.
Go to setup->Virtual Server
Put in the last two digits of your computer's IP.
Set the private and public port to 27910
Set it to UDP.

All set!

Thanks, IronFist.

Another note: Sometimes you can specify the computer by its name rather than IP address, which is useful because with DHCP, you may not always end up with the same IP address.

for the sbg900:

1. access the web interface as usual - i believe it to be 192.168.100.1

2. Login. The default login is:

User: admin
Pass: motorola

3. Click the "Gateway" button on the left hand side.

4. Click on the "Port Forwarding" tab at the top of the page.

5. Click on "config" at the top of the page.

6. Fill in these values:

Template: Custom
Name: PBall2
Port Start: 27910
Port End: 27910
LAN IP Address: 0 by default

Quote
You will obviously need your own LAN IP to tell the router where to send these people. Just go to Start > Run > "cmd" > "ipconfig" - this will list all adapters and their basic information , including IP address. Record your IP address, then you are prepared to connect to your router. If you've done it before, this is a piece of cake. If not, you should have at least cracked open the manual to have learned the default password and how to access it!

Enable: Yes

7. Click "Add" and "Apply"

Wow, I think I love that manual/readme thing. It tells the user that they did something wrong.

Here's netgear's guide.  It might be useful for some people: http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/N101145.asp

I just stumbled on this website thanks to Digg, it will help in most future situations of people needing to know how to forward ports on specific router models:
http://www.portforward.com/default.htm

27910 and UDP by default.  Use the "Modify" button instead of making multiple posts, please.

Uh... just go to http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm then select the router you have, then select Quake2 (paintball2 uses the same port as quake2).
