Blue Oyster Cult is my favorite band, and Dont Fear The Reaper (in my opinion) isn't one of their best songs. My favourite BOC song is Astronomy.
Im a bassist, so naturally im into jazz fusion
. In other words Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius and Return to Forever.
That also means I love some of the old motown, I.E. Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, and basically anything that featured James Jamerson (bassist)
Im a huge fan of Rush and Pink Floyd. Mainly their pre-80's stuff.
Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Iron Maiden are pretty high up on the list.
And of course, funk. The greatest genre of music ever. Graham Central Station, Parliament Funkadelic, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone just to name ones off the top of my head. Oh, earth wind and fire too.
