DEATH MAGNETIC
« on: September 12, 2008, 03:01:59 PM »
Metallica released their ninth studio album today and I ran out and bought it as soon as school ended. I must say this is like if "And Justice For All..." and "The Black Album" had a kid. I have been checking their website for updates for about a month now and I'm so excited to play it all the way through. This album blows St. Anger out of the water and sounds amazing from what I've heard so far. If you like Metallica go buy it now. It's worth it.

It was called Reload, and nobody bought it.

Alright, What I mean to say was this is the missing link between "And Justice For All..." and "The Black Album".

The guitar riffs are boring and lars sounds aweful.  Kirk's solos have no soul and barely flow with the song.  Although this album is better than St. Anger, its not worth buying.. maybe if they would stop down tuning the guitars it might've been better.

Yeah, and Thursday night they were in denmark signing copies at Lars' favorite record shop, I really wish I could of been there, that would of been a night to remember. Next week I'm going all out and buying the coffin box edition, from the description on the website it looks pretty sweet.

Well I wasn't born when they came out, but I've liked them since I was like 7. And I don't mean all I listened to was fuel and enter sandman :P I remember I used to come home from school and just put on ...And Justice For All and play the whole album through over and over till the CD wore out. It was my neighbor who got me into them, I always looked up to him and one day he put this really cool shiny golden metallica decal in the back window of his truck. I remember asking him "who's Metallica?" and he said "I'll show you", so I hopped up in his truck and we listend to Master of puppets for like twenty minutes and I completely fell in love.

I was just being sarcastic. I grew up listening to oldies and it amazes me how far music has come.

I don't really like Metallica too much, not because the music is bad, but because every angsty 14 year old kid who hates his parents talks about how hardcore he is because he listens to Metallica. Plus most of the songs sound the same to me. :/

Also this one guy from my high school who never took showers always had on a Metallica t-shirt... Kinda turned me away... lol

STEEB my man, check your sources. Any 14 year old kid who hates their parents definitly listens to screamo music. almost no kids are true metallica fans anymore.
