Why isn't DP available on macs, anyway?
I think there should be a feature vote for it... (*gets ready to be corrected)

Yeah... :S
What i meant was: how come it's not available on macs when they're getting increasingly popular. I mean, REALLY popular. I know a lot of people that dont play cos they only have macs. Everyone knows that macs are wayyy cooler than windows anyway. :D:D:D
I get that jits is busy, but, this should really be at least on the feature vote list... *runs over to the feature vote forum....

There is actually a way. My dad helped me today. You need to start Windows in Boot Camp.

if you're not fortunate enough to have bootcamp, like me, you can use the command terminal in the mac os to repartition your hard drive without losing everything you already have and either put windows or linux on it (linux is free) but the linux build of dp does not run very well.  for me i can't use the mouse in the menu's or it will sort of lock up unless i go to the console.  also in the linux build i dont get as much fps as i do in windows.  plus if you have a macbook you're going to have trouble getting your wireless card to work. not to mention linux is just a pain in the arse in general.

Things jitspoe will probably do before making a Mac port:

1. Find the love of his life
2. Turn 30
3. Buy a Wii and use as sole gaming platform
4. Quit Red Storm, found rival company Blue Storm
5. Succumb to Ubisoft's attorney and shut down Blue Storm, but not without shipping the Wii hit, Petz Paintballz
6. Turn 32
7. Reveal self to be the 2nd coming of Christ
8. Repeat.

even if you could run DP in OSX the mouse acceleration curve is so terrible FPS gaming is ruined, i would still like to see a mac build available though =]

toM, on my macbook pro on my windows boot, if im connected wirelessly DP2 has severe PL regularly, about every 20 seconds. do you experience this?

boot camp will allow you to install windpws XP (at least SP2) and windows vista, on a seperate partition of the hard drive. this feature is free and comes standard with OSX 10.5.

you can only run one of the operating systems at a time.

you can also run DP through a virtual machine software that emmulates windows like VMWare.

I do experience the same lag that you are talking about ch40s. Ultimately maybe it would be easier to port the linux build over to a mac compatible build.
