it'll probably be something like he's color blind and those obnoxious colors are the only ones he can see.

edit: no offense if you are :P just thinking of reasons. ;)

No idea Fitz, do share.
Most likely used with a pixel macro of sorts. Similar to the ones used in RS and WoW I'm assuming, and most likely undetectable by any conventional checks.

So are you implying that there are some people in the clan allstarz that have modified content?  Since homingbullet was in your clan at the time he was caught for modified content :|

Thanks for the tip.

I never said you had anything related to what Brigade has.  Modified content encompasses a large variety of things.  Stop putting words into my mouth.

Also, learn to use the quote feature instead of just copying and pasting what was previously said.

Hacking pretty much is allowed Knack i know so many people who have moded txtures. its rediculous, its more like a fair game w/ them then an unfair advantage... its like the whole saying "The glass is Have full" not "The glass is have empty" cause the numbers which you have an unfairadvantage too are prolly less, at least of the matching community.

If you are concerned about a level playing field then turn in the hackers, and we can get back to a normal game.

So what does a pixel macro do?

Based on your comment about it being used in RS and WOW I would assume it was used for leveling like most of the macros there. But that would not help in DP.

Are you suggesting a different sort of aimbot?

I presume a pixel macro detects and snaps to certain pixels, and follows it with a macro. In this case, it would detect the pinkish color and 'snap' the cursor on top of it, then if wanted to, it could even be told to shoot? In short, an aimbot that needs specific colors to aim at?

Therefore it would use the screen pixels, and doesn't alter the game (other than having to change texture colors) therefore making it undetectable in the game itself. Thanks Fitz, now we know why "color-blind" colors could cause a problem, since now it would snap to everything red (player, barrels, banners, etc) and would be useless.

I'm sorry but this takes the cake as the best modded content ever.

Yes, they tend to be used for autoclicking and autolooting as well.

I'm not saying that he used them or that it would even work, but such blatant colours like that reminded me of a friend who modded an old game I used to play so a macro could be used and clicked on the colour every time the colour came across the screen. The colours always had to be something ridiculously bright or else it would click on other objects in the game besides the ones desired.

Anyways if you think this stuff is crazy...should have seen some stuff back in the day. God modded content = win. IMO jpeg editing should be allowed.

Oh god BR, looking through my photobucket account....this excrement is GREAT

No wonder people are so good, they can see everyone much better.
Proves that if your good with computers and can change this kind of stuff you win and we (who cant) lose.

What is shown there is detectable and that is why he got banned. You only get away with that for a matter of hours before you are banned.

I do hope some of you realize why his colours are so obnoxiously bright... and no, it doesn't have to do with a so called "sight advantage".
oh boy havnt updated myself in this thread in while, but they arnt so bright for a macro i promise you all this its just a bright advantage.. pbcup_sassault for exapmle could see anything. im not ganna lie its not the hardest thing in the world to do but i never thought of the macro thing. i wouldnt wanna play with an aimbot in dp i just think it was funner with the mods.

hey i
I did. Who didn't is the question. Anyways I still have screenshots from the good ol days of modified dp.
to jitspoe:
how do you sort out the people who are geniunely color-blind from the people who lie to have an advantage over other players? people who claim to be color blind get a free-pass at modding content? must be nice.

i just find it odd that one of the best rated players in the game just happens to be colorblind and admits to having modded content after a string of bans. how convenient.

i think i know a way to solve this issue though, i just thought of it.

bix should upload his textures folder and post the link here. then maybe jitspoe can edit the detection so the server doesnt detect it as modified content. maybe have two different 'allowed' texture builds for DP, the normal one and the one for color-blind players, this seems to me the only way to settle this.

I can't see red models very well on grass because i am color blind to red and green. LT was also color blind.
bix, does this mean that you have only swapped the red and green textures/models in the game?

and also i doubt you changed the textures of the red-barrels to reflect your new color of the old red-player model.

for example: on pp1 theres blue barrels in the blue players base..

my example of how someone could cheat and get away with it:
i come on the forum and post about how im color blind, then i go into my textures folder and swap my red/blue barrel textures for green ones like brigade has done. now its much easier to see people when they are camping beside barrels in their base. my opponents barrel is no longer the same color as my opponent, therefore giving me a sight advantage. youre telling me that i wont be banned because i admitted to being colorblind beforehand?

so i ask again, how do you sort out the liars?

cus it seems to me that any colorblind player can do this and get away with it, turn theyre dis-advantage into an advantage over the opponent.

thoughts?

You really need to read more.  Jitspoe is not going to make consessions for people who are colorblind or claim to be colorblind.

Modified textures will be detected.

I can see in the future release that there will be a new and official texture pac containing the best of all of the textures currently floating out there.

Now, back on topic please.
