The old model files are no longer included in the installer files so the new models are used regardless of setting.

RINSED!

EDIT

joke. I really don't get why people don't like the new models - they're more detailed and tbh, if they make you lag, then you're either playing speed servers with 32000people on arm, or your computer needs some serious work done to it.

Is there any sign of a fix for the random crashing on the linux version ?

Its been the same since 0.26 : http://dplogin.com/forums/index.php?topic=16798.msg164247#msg164247

If it is ogg related cant you at least temporary remove that for the linux client ?  0.23 worked fine but I can no longer go on servers on that version.

I do not want to use wine,

Unfortunately, I'm having a difficult enough time getting linux to run, let alone debug issues with Paintball2.

Jitspoe - did you re-install in the end ? (you were running a mix of stable/unstable debian)

If your having any linux issue please feel free to message me .

I've passed LPI (so am now certified..)

I'm going to follow ViciouZ's advice (i'll use gdb too) and see if it still segfaults...

Haven't even had time to touch Linux recently, to be honest.  If you can try to debug paintball 2 and figure out where it's crashing, though, that would be helpful.
