Read this article on ESReality.com a while ago and thought I would share it with everyone.  This is something I've seen quite a bit and even aprticipated in during my time in eR33t.  The article applies to all online games however.

On a side note, ESReality is a great international site that follows the e-Sports scene.  Tons of great coverage for Quake 4 especially.  It's definately worth frequenting, or putting the RSS feed into your news program.

Bunch of people have been faking my name. Want to let EVERYONE know now, If -ch1ll-SkateR or SkateR comes into a server and talks an EXTREME amount of excrement especially towards GT admins, its NOT me. You will know if its me, and I realize i do talk excrement also, but not that much from what Ive heard.

people obviously are using aliases for when they cheat or mod or just basicly want to be complete excretory openings to others...


example of me being an excretory opening:

I last year in pbcup used the name PuppyLove in a match agenst er33t.. and your probably thinking to yourself well why is that considered being an excretory opening . well i have no clue... but since they told me I had to change my name to something else I  changed my name to sk33toner33t and lost a round for my team... i think its kindda weird i use a name like PuppyLove and get yelled at for using a fake name and a round loss for my team.. yet most of er33t had fake names and nothing was done about it... ohh thats right er33t runs pbcup... guess theres really no way of winning a rigged tourny lol

If you're going to revive a 14 month old topic, at least read the article and even maybe categorize all the "er33t fakenickers".  Also, I said:

The DP community was equally as unfriendly before iP from what I remember.  I'm sure Blitz would love nothing more than to go back to the time when we had NoCheatServer running with effective wallhack/spike prevention so he could dominate everyone just that much more.

hehe my two best? what do you mean about that... ohh your speaking about me having higher scores then them??? heh i didnt even notice.. i just grabed 2 screenshots out of my folder from last years screenshots.. seeing as i try to aviod er33t members because their personal attacks towards me..  calling me a hacker or making comments on how they like looking at merry porno or my favorite !randomuniquote (basicly why i use fake names, to avoid lameness..)

when i joined clan prozak how ever many years ago when they were like 12-5 dp was soo friggin awsome. sure it was competitive and what not but there wasnt really any cheaters back then either... or people trying to personally attack others to my knowledge anyways.. no maps with stick figure porno.. or map developers who were making maps with certin jumps that only the person who made the map would know of and try to make some sort of advantage for their clan to play on... most of the  map developers from back in the day dont even really play dp and never really did... and sure you can go amuse your self with my ranting and raving but the fact remains the same... if blitz really did want nothing more then to enjoy the game like it was back in the day.. then why did he ever distrubute hacks with gwb??

i personally use to enjoy the 1v1's me and blitz had back in the day he won most of the time.. but it was allways a close score....and it was allways fun.. no name calling no sore losers... soo if you really want to be a jerk by amusing your self with out even stating whats amusing its exactly that type of attitude that has demolished this game...

Sounds like you're mistaking Blitz with someone else... maybe Goose or Ruiner?  Blitz and myself have always shared the same tolerance for cheating and we've even had to kick a couple members for cheating in the past.

me and blitz were and a couple others were the only ones who used NoCheat for so long, to the point where people said we only used it so we could hack.. lmfao

I do not chat while playing and do not want to be bothered.
I just want to play.
GT admins easily know who I am through my IP.

Neither does saying that you personally insulted uni when your map says ereet, not dt.
Since ereet is no longer a clan, will using that name in the upcoming pbcup result in forfeits?
