Way to remove someone as operator?
« on: June 27, 2009, 12:54:54 PM »
Is there a command to remove someone else's operator level? I'm not talking about deopself, I know that one.

Yup.  I don't think you can deop someone though.

One can op himself again if he knows login, would be kind of useless to deop him then, thus I think there's no such command.

That would be a good idea. A ban time from logging in as operator would be a good thing.

Well no, it's just that sometimes the guys I give the op to get a bit annoying and start viewgibing everyone. Being able to deop them or give them an op ban time would at least give me a chance to tell them to stop being annoying fools.

You should give everyone a unique password.

Yeah there are like 5 levels of admin. What I would do is reset the password for the highest level (oppass5), and keep that only for yourself. then you can give out the 50 or 100 level pass to other people so they can do general admin functions. You can also customize what every level can do in the commands.txt file (located in C:\Games\Paintball2\pball\configs). Each function has a level next to it. If you want to allow or deny an admin function for a certain level, just modify the number following the command. Be careful with it though or you could jack stuff up. If you need help, pm me or find me on irc.

Actually, I probably know more about being an admin than you do. Thanks for the attempt to help, but my question is quite specific.

lol...okay...whatever.

Well your specific question has already been specifically answered: There isn't a way to deop someone else other than kicking them. An even if you kick them, the way they were op'ed in the first place is because they have the pass, so they are just gonna re-op. So simply don't give out the pass and you will be fine.
