The PGP Knockout Cup
« on: July 19, 2009, 09:45:40 AM »
Hello!! Here is some information about the cup:

The PGP Cup.
Created by Kyuuchi

Information about the PGP Cup:
The PGP Cup is a 1v1 knockout cup. If you lose once, you are out of the competition.
The tournament will be held on Saturday 25th of July, at 18:00 GMT.
Each game will last for 10 minutes, and it is the first person to 15 points. This is so that the games wont last forever. There will be no flags, so you cant cap/grab and kill. There will be a map placed or every round of the tournament, for example. For the Final, the map could be "arm" - just an example.
The person who wins will progress into the next round, as seen on the tournament page.
As stated, this is a 1vs1 cup. No observers are allowed untill the Final, only Tournament moderators can observe pre-round matches.
The main website with tournament standings in at:
http://pgpcup.webeden.co.uk

Servers: OTB & k3y are hosting them. Thanks T3RR0R15T and the OTB Team, Thanks k3y and the lawl team!

RULES:
- You must be in the PGP Cup channel, #PGPcup - to receive server information.
- You will change to the map that the round is allocated too.
- You will start your map when both you and your opponent are ready.
- You will play your match.
- If your opponent doesn't arrive, the person in the server will automatically win the match.
- At the end of your match, please take a screenshot. This is so if your opponent disagree's, we have proof of the result.
- If you win, you will wait in the IRC channel, for your next match. Then do the whole above process again.
- If you lose, you must leave the server, and not watch any matches untill the Final. You may still idle the IRC channel.

OTHER INFO:
If you have any queries or questions, please do contact Kyuuchi on #PGPCup.

REGISTERING:
To register, please post your name below. And wait for the day to arrive.

MAPLIST:
I need some idea's for the maplist. I need one for the First round, one for the Quarter Finals, one for the Semi Finals and one for the Final...
Any ideas? Please do post your ideas here. Thanks.

Update:
First Round Map: airtime
Quarter Finals Map: xbmap1
Semi Finals Map: to be announced
Finals Map: pbcup

Of course, you cant grab flags.

UPDATE 2:
Servers have been arranged
"PGP Cup - Server 1 - Round 1" hosted by T3RR0R15T (thanks!)
"PGP Cup - Server 2 - Round 1" hosted by T3RR0R15T (thanks!)
"PGP Cup - Server 3 - Round 1" hosted by k3y (thanks!)
"PGP Cup - Server 4 - Round 1" hosted by k3y (thanks!)

they say "Round 1" on them so you know what round your in
after they have been used, they will be renamed to
"PGP Cup - Server # - Q. Finals"
then..
"PGP Cup - Server # - S. Finals"
then..
"PGP Cup - Server # - Finals"
and at the finals you will be allowed to watch

MAPS:
Round 1: airtime
Q. Finals: xbmap1
S. Finals: To be announced - minispeed? maybe dodgeball?
Final: pbcup

Remember - when changing the map
It must be EXPERT 8 and set to DM
