Map Downloads

So on a whim today between classes I setup a torrent tracker on my site so I can mess around with it a bit and see what I can do.  There is currently only one torrent up there, but it's a big one.  All the maps off of OTB's FTP server as of this afternoon-ish.

You have to right-click > Save As until I get a forced download thing working, if I even bother.  Also, I am the only one that can upload stuff to the tracker and I don't plan on opening that up, so don't ask.

Currently the data for this torrent is on my three computers, with a combined upload cap around 250 k/s.  My server has only this torrent active (150 k/s cap).  I'll prolly leave it that way for a little while.

Again, this is just up for me to mess around with and see if people would actually use something like this.  If a bunch of people like it and use it, I might just expand the crap out of it.

Why? If u want one map, u have to download the complete pack with hundreds of MB.

Depends on what people want.  If they want to get a pack of maps, like new people tend to do, then they'll want to get a pack of maps.  Honestly downloading maps these days I find to be useless as you download them quite fast off the servers, but meh.

No individual maps.  You can, however, selectively download stuff from the torrents.

edit: worked, and it went quite fast as well coming off just 1 server/computer.  Its added to my never ending list of seeding torrents.

Before I left for class today I think I released the upload limit on one of my desktops for that torrent.   So that's why it wen't so fast, heh.
